This is the only way the service is usable For me. Both bands are fairly week signals -110 db which is weird since I live a mile from a tower. On iPhone and see the LTE connections and I see my problem! It’s connecting to band 2, which is slow as can be! Once in a great while it connects to a band 66 and it’s speeds run 30 mbps or faster, but it only briefly connects to this and drops it’s fairly quickly. I figured out I can go into field test mode so im basically paying T-Mobile for nothing since I have to use WiFi all the time. I’m having the exact same problem with the iPhone pro! 1 bar and data so slow it can’t be used for anything. I knew that was BS but let It go thinking I’d get the new iPhone soon anyways. They convinced me it was due to that phone being unlocked from At&t. I had an XS Max last year and would regularmy get 1 bar with data speeds around that of a 56k modem. Nobody at Apple or T-Mobile have really been able to do anything for me besides the usual resetting the network connection, resetting the settings in iPhone, airplane mode toggle, everything. I live in a big city so this is totally unacceptable. Since I switched to Tmobile last year, I have had an absolutely horrible LTEĭata connection.
